The challenge

UK Care for Children has worked with vulnerable children in Jordan and Lebanon since 2008, but their brand had drifted into the visual language of crisis appeals: urgent, loud, indistinguishable from every other charity. They needed an identity that conveyed steadiness and trust, and that could carry both long-term sponsorship and emergency appeals without feeling contradictory.

Strategic approach

We built the identity around the child, not the crisis. A warm, human photographic direction, a confident, calm wordmark, and a flexible colour system that could quiet down for sponsorship stories and step up for emergency appeals. The tone of voice was reset to lead with dignity.

Creative solution

A full brand system including logo, typography, colour, photography direction and templates for campaigns, social and the website. The result is a kit the team can run themselves across every channel.

Measurable results

A cohesive, recognisable brand that works as hard for a child sponsorship story as it does for an emergency Lebanon appeal, and a set of templates the in-house team uses every day.

“For the first time our brand feels like us: calm, committed, and built around the children. It works across everything we do. Communications Lead, UK Care for Children”
